Today

What will I give to the world today?  What will I add to the experiences of the people with whom I have contact on this day?  I can’t say for sure just whom I’ll deal with today, but I can decide right now whether I want my contribution to this day to be positive or negative, helpful or hurtful, constructive or destructive, uplifting or not.

Butterfly Flower Christina MaritaToday, I want to contribute pleasantness whenever I meet someone, whether I know them or not.  I don’t have to wear a pasted-on smile in order to be pleasant, but I do have to avoid sarcasm or judgment.  When people receive my pleasantness, it may be the first pleasantness of their day, so I’ll try to be very pleasant.

I’d also like to contribute kindness to this new day.  This means that I must use words that are kind and act in a kindly way, avoiding looks and actions and words that simply are not kind.  Perhaps someone will appreciate this kindness and pass it on to someone else.

I’d also like to contribute encouragement.  I’ll have plenty of opportunities to do so.  And if I am encouraging, it may just happen that someone else finds the strength and courage to continue something very important to them.

I’ll try my best to contribute praise and avoid criticism.  If the praise is sincere, I may just be able to make someone else feel better about him or herself.

I want to contribute peacefulness.   If I can face all of my duties and problems with a quiet confidence, looking calmly for solutions rather than complaining about the way things are, I can act as a role model for peacefulness.  In this way at least I won’t be adding to the stressful input of those people who are around me.

It would be nice if I could also contribute some hope to this day, for someone, somewhere.  It could be in the form of letting them know that I’ve been through what they have, and things worked out okay, or in the form of helping them to see the strengths they have that will help them to do what they need to do.  Either way, the hope they get can be very valuable for them.

There’s a whole day ahead of me, today, tomorrow, and the next day.  What I contribute to each of these days is, in short, my contribution to the world.  So what am I going to do?  Shall I contribute to the positive energy of the world, or to the negative?  The choice always is mine.

Unconditional love

Unconditional love dissolves the emotional charges that create sickness and disease.

Unconditional love heals.

Unconditional love takes you beyond the illusions of space and time and helps you bring whomever you love into your presence .That doesn’t mean the physical aspect of the person appears ; rather , unconditional love flows between you and that person and connects your heart and soul with theirs.

Unconditional love isn’t limited by the boundaries of time and space that our physical bodies inhabit .It’s a state of awakening and enlightenment that gives rise to the answers to all questions. It’s our reason for being here in physical form. We’re here to learn unconditional love and can find it in bliss or the long and hard way. Either way , we’ll learn it because our evolution back to the very source of life is inevitable.

10Unconditional love is the fundamental law and the most powerful force in the universe .It’s our link to all true healing and our bond with the infinite. It’s our mission , purpose , and stairway to the stars.

”YOU ARE HERE TO LOVE AND BE LOVED , NOT TO BE ”RIGHT”.

Make it a Great Day!

Focus on Today Only.

Yes, we need to have long-range goals.  But our focus must be on today. Don’t think about tomorrow.
Today is enough trouble in and of itself.  You can work on tomorrow when it gets here.  Instead, make today the best day you have ever had. Realize that when you lay down to sleep tonight you will have just given up the only shot you will ever have at today.  Today is now gone and it is only a memory.  You only get one shot at your today so focus intently on making it all that it possibly can be.  Focus, focus, focus!  When you focus on making today great, you are on the road to guaranteeing that you will make your day GREAT, every day!

Embrace Your Power to Choose.1a
Dwight D. Eisenhower said that “The history of free men is never written by chance but by choice, their choice.”  When your today becomes your yesterday, you will look back and realize that that day was a result of your choices and your choices only.  “But wait, Chris, what if my boss controlled my day?  That isn’t my choice!”  But it is your choice to work for someone else!  You choose to let someone else tell you what to do. You choose the feelings of helplessness that overwhelm you when you feel bad that you do not control your own destiny.  The moment we realize that we have a gift from God that the animals do not have, mainly the gift of free will and choice, and when we realize the inherent power within that gift, and ultimately when we finally begin to exercise that gift, then and only then, will we begin to create for ourselves a GREAT day each and every day!  Take ownership of the direction in your life.  Make your choices then carry them out!

Your Attitude is Up to You.
You cannot control what others may do or say. But you do control your attitude.  Your attitude about whatever happens to you is up to you.

When something happens to you, you have the choice:  Will you let it get you down and depressed, keeping you from forging ahead and making the day the best one ever?  Or will you say to yourself that no matter what happens you are on the path to success and no obstacle will keep you from it?  Will you say, “Sometime you win and sometimes you lose – I guess this time I lost”?  Will you say, “Sometime you win and sometimes you learn – I can really learn something from this!”?

It is all in what attitude we choose.  Your attitude is up to you and when you choose to have a great attitude, you are choosing to guarantee to have a GREAT day, every day!

Live Out and Act on Your Priorities.

If we want to make our days great, then we have to live out those things that will by definition make our days great.  And those things are what are important to us.  They are our priorities.  So each morning you start out by saying, “What things are important to me today?  What are the things I need to accomplish in order for me to lay down tonight and know that I lived a GREAT day?”  Then you put those in order of most important to least important.

Don’t do what is fun.  Don’t do what is easy.  Do what is IMPORTANT!  Live out your priorities!  When you do, you will guarantee that you will make your day GREAT, every day!

Tomorrow, when you wake up, go through the four following points and see if you don’t make tomorrow a GREAT day:

Focus on today only.
Understand that I get to choose how today will go.
Remain in a positive attitude no matter what happens.
Live out and act on my priorities.

Do this and you will guarantee a GREAT day, every day!

Every thought we think is creating our future

We live in an ever-expanding, unlimited Universe. The possibilities available to us are far beyond what our human minds can imagine. The only thing that ever limits us is our thinking. We waste our thoughts thinking of limitations. Our thoughts are so precious. Every thought we think is creating our future. Every thought!

193021534000982447_zQEWGixb_c
Each time we think a thought that makes us feel bad in any way, it’s a wasted thought. Not only have we wasted an opportunity to think a positive thought and create a great life for ourselves, we’ve added to the pile of negative thoughts that bring uncomfortable experiences to us.

Each thought is precious. We can learn to think in positive affirmations. Yes, it takes a bit of doing to gain control over our thoughts; however, the rewards are tremendous. The past has no power over us. Even problems have no power over us. Our power lies in the thoughts that we choose to think today. Remember, there are endless opportunities for good before us.

We can think happy thoughts. We can think positive thoughts. We can say, “Yes, I can do it!”  We can think thoughts that make us feel joyous. We can learn to think only about all the good in the world. We can lift our thoughts up. We can greet the day with a smile. We can let the world know that we’re happy to be alive. We can express gratitude at every turn. We can love our bodies. We can be our best friend. By our actions, we’ll be an example for our children. Just by watching us, they’ll learn how to create a happy and fulfilling life.

Our reward is that we get to watch day by day as our lives turn into the most joyous, loving, healthy, prosperous, fabulous experiences. And this will last for all the rest of our days on Earth. So train yourself to think thoughts that make you feel good. That way, you’ll always be creating your life out of joy and in joy. Joy always brings more to be joyous about.

-Louise L. Hay

positive habits

What would happen if you approached each day intentionally, with a positive attitude?  What would happen if you embraced life’s challenges with a smile on your face?  What would happen if you surrounded yourself with people who made you better?  What would happen if you paused long enough to appreciate it all?

Living a positive life is all about creating positive habits to help you focus on what truly matters.  This is the secret of super positive people.  Here are some simple ideas to help you follow in their footsteps.

  1. Wake up every morning with the idea that something wonderful is possible today. – Smiling is a healing energy.  Always find a reason to smile.  It may not add years to your life but will surely add life to your years.  A consistent positive attitude is the cheapest ‘fountain of youth.’  You’ve got to dance like there’s nobody watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like it’s heaven on Earth.
  2. Celebrate your existence. – Your mind is the window through which you see the world.  The way to make this the happiest day ever is to think, feel, walk, talk, give, and serve like you are the most fortunate person in the whole world.  Open minded, open hearted, and open handed.  Nothing more is needed.  All is well… and so it is.
  3. Appreciate life’s perfect moments. – Your life isn’t perfect, but it does have perfect moments. Don’t let the little things get you down.  You’ve got plenty of reasons to look up at the sky and say, “Thank you, Iwill do my best to make this a great day.”  So slow down and pause for a moment to stand in awe of the fact that you are alive, and that you have the ability to rediscover life as the miracle it has always been.
  4. Embrace life’s challenges. – Uncharted territory in your life is not good or bad, it just is.  Yes, it may rattle your foundation, and you may be tempted to pullback, say you can’t do it, or bail completely.  But these are exactly the conditions that set you up for massive amounts of personal growth.  Each experience through which you pass operates ultimately for your own good.  This is the correct attitude to adopt, and you must be able to see it in this light.

Opportunity

There are so many things we do, say, and think that stop us from being powerful beings and being all that we can be. Often, we think and talk ourselves into failing without even trying. This is another common form of dis-empowering negative thinking. How many times have you gone for an interview, saying to yourself, “I haven’t got a hope in hell of getting this job!” – or believing you’ll fail a test before you’ve even taken it.

You already know about the law of attraction; “Life follows thought.” Are you creating a negative outcome as a result of your fears and past conditioning? It’s down to how much you truly believe in yourself and your self-worth. It’s important to see yourself as a winner.

Here are 7 steps to help you break free of the “I’m Going to Fail” Syndrome:

  1. Work on letting go of your past beliefs, fears, and hang-ups. Start having positive conversations with yourself.
  2. Start believing why you can, as opposed to why you can’t.
  3. Stay focused on your goals and aspirations.
  4. Write all your experiences in your journal. Get them out of your head!
  5. Think of yourself as a winner, rather than a loser. Once you believe in yourself, you’ll be surprised at how others start believing in you more. Remember this statement; “We train others how to treat us by the way we treat ourselves.”
  6. Believe in success. When you start believing that you can succeed, it’s surprising how your mind starts to figure out solutions for success. You won’t even contemplate failure.
  7. Visualize and feel yourself in a successful outcome and living a life that you know you’ll love.

All you can do really is give every opportunity your best shot!

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”

Christian D. Larson, Your Forces and How to Use Them

10 Words to Live By

The words you say will teach, if you practice what you preach…

  1. Positivity – The things you think about, focus on, and surround yourself with ultimately shape who you become.  Choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills your heart, the peace that rests deep within your spirit, and the voice of hope that whispers, “All things are possible.”  Right now, pause for a moment and repeat after me: “What I think about and thank about, I will bring about in my life.”  Read The How of Happiness.
  2. Patience – Using time, pressure and patience, the universe gradually changes caterpillars into butterflies, sand into pearls, and coal into diamonds.  You’re being worked on too, so hang in there.  Just because something isn’t happening for you right now, doesn’t mean it will never happen.
  3. Courage – It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you aren’t really living at all – you’re merely existing.  You cannot always wait for the perfect time; sometimes you must dare to jump.  Sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage – just literally twenty seconds of uncomfortable bravery – and I promise you, something great will come of it.
  4. Love – When love is your guiding light, you can break through barriers to be of loving service to the world.  Gaining the courage and confidence to stand up for what you believe in is not always easy, but it’s fully within your reach.  Focus on things that make you the most YOU – that bring out the best of you, that make you better than you were yesterday, and that allow you to shine your light into the space around you.  Read The Mastery of Love.
  5. Truth – Tell the truth, or eventually someone will tell it for you.  Living a life of honesty creates peace of mind, and peace of mind is priceless.  Period.  Don’t be dishonest and don’t put up with people who are.
  6. Confession – Don’t criticize others for their flaws if you are not willing to confess your own.  Whatever we refuse to confess about ourselves has a way of rearing its head and making itself known when we least expect it.
  7. Appreciation – Sometimes we end up cheating on others and ourselves simply because we pay more attention to what we’re missing, rather than what we have.  Instead of thinking about what you’re missing, think about what you have that everyone else is missing.
  8. Responsibility – In every situation you have ever been in, positive or negative, the one common thread is you.  Responsibility means recognizing that regardless of what has happened up to this point in your life, you are capable of making choices to change your situation, or to change the way you think about it.  Read Unleash the Warrior Within.
  9. Growth – You can choose to let your past define you and confine you, or you can choose to learn, grow, and leave it behind you.  Just like the seasons, you have the ability to change.  In many ways, you already have.
  10. Persistence – All things are difficult before they are easy.  It’s not about falling, it’s about getting back up.  Success is not a skill, it is a persistent attitude.

You are in full control of your own life, starting today.

This is your journey, and yours alone.  Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.

Here are 5 truths to inspire, motivate and remind you that you aren’t confined by the boundaries others impose on you.  You are in full control of your own life, starting today.

  1. I can only be me. – Stop trying to be someone else’s idea of perfect.  Be your imperfectly perfect self.  Be YOU.  When they laugh at you for being different, laugh back at them for being the same.  Judy Garland once said, “Always be a first rate version of yourself instead of a second rate version of somebody else.”  Live by this statement.  There is no such thing as living in someone else’s shoes.  The only shoes you can occupy are your own.  If you aren’t being yourself, you aren’t truly living – you’re merely existing.

  2. This is my life, and my dreams are worth it. – Life is a courageous journey or nothing at all.  We cannot become who we want to be by continuing to do exactly what we’ve been doing.  If you are passionate about something, pursue it, no matter what anyone else thinks.  That’s how dreams are achieved.  Be deaf when people tell you that you can’t fulfill your dreams.  The only place where your goals and dreams are impossible is inside your head.  Once you’ve dreamed of it, you’re halfway there.  So go ahead and follow through.  Let your dreams be bigger than your fears and your actions louder than your words.  Follow your heart regardless of what others tell you to do.  At the end of the day it’s you who has to live with your decisions, not them.

  3. Everything, good or bad, is a life lesson. – Everyone you meet, everything you encounter, etc. – they’re all part of the learning experience we call ‘life.’  Never forget to acknowledge the lesson, especially when things don’t go your way.  If you don’t get a job that you wanted or a relationship doesn’t work, it only means something better is out there waiting.  And the lesson you just learned is the first step towards it. Remember, there are no mistakes, only lessons.  Love yourself, trust your choices, remember what you deserve, and keep pushing forward.

  4. A few REAL friends are all I need. – When it comes to relationships, focus on quality over quantity.  Spend your time with friends who love and appreciate you, and who encourage you to improve in healthy and exciting ways.  They are the ones who make you feel more alive, and not only embrace who you are now, but also embrace and embody who you want to be, unconditionally.  Spend more time with those who make you smile and less time with those who you feel pressured to impress. These people make your day a little bit brighter simply by being in it.  It is better to have one true friend than all the acquaintances in the world.

  5. My actions and words directly affect the lives around me. – Lead by example.  Practice what you preach or don’t preach at all.  Walk the talk!  People watch what you do more than they listen to what you say.  Inspire, challenge and encourage people to their best, by doing YOUR best.  And when someone else is doing a great job, tell them that you’re proud of them.  Encourage them.  Take the time to recognize their effort.  If they know you believe they can do great things, they will often go to great lengths to live up to your expectations.  Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.  Optimism is a happiness magnet.  If you stay positive and confident, good things and good people will be drawn to you.

the right moment

“There is just the right moment for everything. If you find obstruction on your path, back off just a minute. Take time to allow for an integration of this new information. Your being wants to create perfection, but perfection cannot be forced. If things are not working out well, take a break, especially a mental break.

Let go of how you were looking at the situation.  Allow the super-conscious to do its tempering work of synthesis.”

“It will re-inspire you to right and harmonious action. Imagine there is a smooth flowing river of life with a strong current just for carrying you effortlessly forward.  Step into it in your mind’s eye.  Feel the gentle push and let your body float on it.  Just a moment’s visualization can put you on the right course.  It gives your higher being time to see what’s really needed. It may only be an adjustment of thought, a slight change in plans, but the increment of difference may be all that is needed to make everything happen easily.”

Life can’t give to you if your hands are closed.

Life on this planet is an adventure—from the moment we’re born until the time we take our last breath. Life is a madcap caper—scary, exhilarating, boring, peaceful, loving—it’s an escapade. Life is a quest. Life is a thrill. Life is romance. Life is a lark. Life is!

We all experience every emotion possible, and oftentimes, we don’t like being in the game of Life. We can be afraid and try to protect ourselves from criticism. We can hide, but then we may miss the wonderful adventure that’s available to us. Everyone is afraid of something, but we can do it anyway.

Part of the adventure of Life is going through our fears and coming out on the other side—stronger and even more triumphant. No one is more courageous and adventurous than a baby fighting its way down the birth canal—struggling for its first breath, or a child taking its first steps.

You can’t hide from Life. Life is here for you to live to the fullest. Take your courage in your hands and move out into Life. Ask for what you want. Believe that you deserve it, and then allow Life to give it to you. Be sure that you’re willing to receive. Life can’t give to you if your hands are closed. Open your mind, open your heart, and open your arms. Life loves you and only wants to give you the best.

What makes your soul sing and your heart dance?

Everyone has a song in their heart.
Everyone has a reason for being here and a season for making their highest, greatest most auspicious contribution.  No one knows what that is or when that is for anyone else. Only our own heart knows what and when it is for us.

Your heart wants to sing. Don’t die with your music still within you.
There is a reason for everything and a purpose to your life.
Too many fail to listen to the song in their heart and therefore fail to find their purpose and their part.

What makes your soul sing and your heart dance? Actually you heart is your soul and you are both! Ask this one question of yourself but don’t be in a hurry to answer it. Live in the question for a day, a week, a month. Let it invite your heart to speak to you.

And when you are absolutely sure what your heart is saying is true then begin to invoke the changes necessary in your life so that you live in alignment with your song.
